Maison of rare vanillas

A Maison born at the source

ANTOKALY was born from the meeting of Landrique and Yassine, two producers gathered around the same collective in Antalaha, Madagascar.

Their shared standard rests on a simple continuity: following the vanilla from the vine, through preparation and maturation, to the precise choice of the lot.

Each lot carries its terroir, its season, the craft behind it and an aromatic direction of its own.

ANTOKALY exists to make this work clear: translating what is built in Madagascar into precise choices for chefs, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream makers and discerning culinary professionals.

Our founders

Two heritages in the same Maison

Yassine comes from a family settled in Madagascar since the late 19th century. Vanilla is part of a long history there: a culture, relationships of trust and a crop followed season after season.

Landrique also carries a family tradition of vanilla. He grew up in a lineage that has cultivated it since his great-grandfather, with that patient knowledge passed on through the land, the seasons and the attention given to each lot.

This shared relationship with vanilla brought them together. ANTOKALY was born from their shared passion for this rare spice and from an intimate understanding of what it can reveal. Together, they elevate vanilla and want to make the terroirs of Madagascar known in all their diversity, down to those still-confidential origins, known to only a few, but whose signatures are precious.

The Maison was built around this conviction: choosing the lots as close to their source as possible, assessing them with precision and presenting them with care. Demanding work, carried out with heart, to give each vanilla the place it deserves.

Malagasy etymology

The origin of the name

In Malagasy, Antoke carries the idea of pledge, commitment, the kept word. Kalytao evokes quality: followed, verified and traceable. ANTOKALY unites these two roots to express a standard: selecting vanillas able to carry their origin and aromatic expression clearly.

Vanilla itself was long in search of its own. It took 3 centuries for the Nahuatl word tlilxochitl to give way to the one we use.

Antoke

Pledge, commitment, the kept word.

Kalytao

Quality, follow-up, verifiable work.

Twofold anchorage

Paris, France

Our commercial office is established in Paris. From this anchorage we coordinate exchanges with professionals and carry out our shipments to the world.

Before each departure, the lots undergo a second quality control: profile consistency, pod integrity, packaging and documentary compliance.

From cultivation to preparation, then to the final check before shipping, each step is followed within our organic approach, from the certified plots to the plots in conversion.

North-east Madagascar

ANTOKALY was born within a collective of planters in north-east Madagascar, in the SAVA region, around Antalaha.

This proximity gives access to the plots, the seasons, the maturity of the pods and the craft that shapes vanilla at its source.

The Maison follows this origin and carries it through to the final selection.

Our role

Elevating the vanilla

Our role is to orchestrate each step with the same standard, from cultivation to the moment the vanilla reaches those who work with it. From the plot to your hands, each lot keeps a clear trace of its origin, its journey and its ageing.

We guide the vanilla through production, preparation, maturation and presentation, so that each origin can express its personality. Through its terroirs, aromatic nuances and uses, we give chefs and professionals a precise, living way to choose what each vanilla offers at its most singular.

Culinary houses

A direct relationship with those who compose taste.

ANTOKALY works with chefs, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream makers and houses that expect a vanilla whose origin, structure and aromatic direction they know.

The exchange begins with the creation: you describe the aroma you are looking for and we guide you to the matching terroir. Perhaps even to a profile so confidential that only your creation will carry it.

What we offer is a precise selection: each lot presented with its profile, its terroir and its length, so the choice is anchored in real knowledge of vanilla.
